North Carolina Bass Fishing Sustainability starts with you!
We are a 501c3 organization set up to help raise private funds to help enhance North Carolina lakes through a stocking program which introduces F-1 large mouth bass fingerlings across the state. Your donation is tax deductible. This is a joint effort with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and will initially focus on F1 stockings in Lake Norman, Lake Gaston and Jordan Lake over the next five years. Our goal is to raise $100,000 annually and through matching programs through the state, this will provide fundings for approximately 800,000 fingerlings per year over each of the next five years. Our first stocking will occur in April of 2023.
Perhaps you have noticed the dramatic increase in the individual size and tournament weights on Smith Mountain Lake and the Chickahominy River in Virginia over the last few years. These are the direct results of a similar program conducted in Virginia and we are looking for the same result here in North Carolina. Eight and ten pounders are showing up in Virginia and Tennessee.
We encourage you to visit our website and make a contribution or you may mail checks directly to the address above. Please pass this information on to all your fishing friends who would like for our children to continue to have the opportunities that we have had in the great outdoors.
THANK YOU for your support on this effort to enhance North Carolina fisheries for everyone!

Would you like to see bass in our NC lakes like the ones below? We can not do it without your support. Please donate now to help us stock the F1 largemouth bass in NC Lakes.
Enhanced genetic stocking programs have been used by fisheries managers throughout the United States for generations. They result in improved angler catch rates, maximize growth potential, supplement poor recruitment years, and reshape fish populations in positive ways that promote economic growth for local communities. Genetics are an core component of fisheries management. When supported by habitat restoration, selective angler harvest, and abundant forage the maximum genetic potential of any enhanced stocking program.
How can an angler help with this? Again, the answer is simple, donate and tell others about the program. For every dollar that is donated to the state by the private sector the state can get matching federal funding that turns one dollar into four dollars. For the year of 2023 the estimated cost of F-1’s fingerlings the state is wanting to purchase is approximately $.50 per fish. Each dollar donated will purchase eight fingerlings. A $100 donation will allow us to stock 800 fish! Yes, $100 will allow us to purchase 800 fish. Anglers pay thousands of dollars for electronics and equipment. Wouldn't you like the opportunity on any given fishing trip to catch a trophy of a lifetime? We believe this program is a game changer. We as anglers and conservationist need to do our part with sustainable funding. Let’s improve our fisheries in our state one fingerling at a time. Your help is needed and appreciated.
