PBC $5,000 Bass Trail Qualifying Tournament #5

Beautiful day~Finally! The team turnout was 53 boats! 159 bass were weighed for a total of 388 pounds. All
fish were released alive but 4! Water temps averaged 70 to 75 and air temps ranged from 47 to 77 with
winds ranging from light to 10 mph midday. Big fish for the day was only 6.07 pounds with most of the fish
weighed in being bucks. Just about any lure would work this day, but the c-rigs & t-rigs seemed to tempt
the bass which were mostly caught in shallow water. The spawn is mostly over and the bucks are guarding
the beds. The females that have laid out are now in a little deeper water taking a rest. Sizes and counts
will start to rise after the spawn is over, which should be in a week or so.

The next PBC tournament will be at Jordan Lake on May 7th. This event will be an 'Open Fun' tournament.
